Zippers???

I used this Tutorial to make a zippered pouch.  I am new to zippers so I wanted to start with something easy.  I tried shortening a zipper this morning, it did not end well LOL.  So, I found this tutorial that started with a zipper size I already had! It was pretty easy, and I think it would go a lot smoother next time.  It is always fun to try new things, even if they don't turn out perfectly!

Two baby quilts!

I am lucky enough to have two brand new nieces born in the last two weeks! This is Zoey with the quilt I made for her.  I used Verna by Kate Spain, and I love how pretty it turned out!
This is Holly, and she is only two days old in this picture! :) For her quilt I used a variety of prints.  Her mom loves bright colors, and I love how fun the quilt is :)

Christmas Quilt!

I made this quilt for my brother for Christmas.  If you look carefully, you will notice that it uses fruit and vegetable prints.  I just love how it turned out! I used this tutorial!  It was pieced and machine quilted by me! This is the largest quilt I have made so far, it measured approximately 65 x 65 inches.

Happy Birthday To My SIL! (Posted a little late...)

This year for all the girl's birthdays in my family I made a table runner and an apron! :) This is my sister in law Ginger's present!
She loved the happy colors, the runner is made with birdie fabric from Moda.  :)

Fabric from Germany

Recently we had an old friend from when we lived in Germany come to visit! She asked me what I would like as a present, and of course I asked for some fabric that we couldn't get here in the states.  Apparently it was a little difficult she said because most of the good fabric is made in America! :)  Anyway, she was able to bring me a cute fabric set and I love it! :) Thanks Cati!

This is Cati before we went white water rafting in Jackson Hole, Wyoming

 The cute fabric bundle!
A close up. Don't you love the little birds?
I love the hearts too! :)

Another Birthday Quilt :)

Here is a sneak peak of my niece Alexis' first birthday quilt! I love Eden by Lila Tueller! It is so beautiful.  I picked out a purple Kona solid to go with the charm packs that I had. It has been really fun piecing it together.  I almost have the top done.  I have to get moving because my nephew Max turns one two weeks later and he needs a birthday quilt too! :)
